As I previously mentioned, I’m not “officially” part of this challenge, because I got in too late, so this is just for fun.
My goals for last week were:
- No carbonated beverages. period. Success!
- Minimum of 5 hours of gym per week. Only got 40 minutes this week
- Walk at least 13 miles for the week. Only walked 1.5 miles
- Last 5 minutes on the Elliptical. Didn’t do any elliptical (couldn’t though due to arm)
- Cook dinner at least once per week. Sorta. I made fresh green beans last night
As I mentioned earlier today, I knew I didn’t hit most of my goals this week, although I AM proud of the ‘no soda’ one. I’m gonna change my goals up a bit for this next week to accommodate for my arm and to factor in my C25K training. My goals for next week are:
- No carbonated beverages. period.
- Complete Week 1 Days 1-3 of C25K training.
- Walk at least 5 miles for the week.
- Create menu for Thanksgiving and ingredient list.
- No more Halloween Candy.
- Bring my lunch everyday to work.
- Cook dinner at least once this week.
The Hot 100 Challenge is hosted by Steve and you can read more about it here.
And here are my Week 6 photos, not much visible difference from Day 1, but there WILL be! (You can see the full size images and previous weeks’ here.)

Josie, I can see a difference in the pics. Give it another 15 pounds and you will be able to see it even better. We are always more critical of our own pictures than others are.
Great work!
Yeah, I can certainly see a difference, too!
And those goals look aweseome–lots of them, but they all look attainable. No Halloween candy would be tough for me (good thing we don’t have kids yet–it would be super difficult)
I too can see a difference!
Also, I’m impressed by your no-soda success. This is one area that I have not attempted to conquer yet . . . I still drink two Diet Dr Peppers a day! And often a caffeine-free diet soda in the evening.
CONGRATS & I see a difference too! No soda is a bog one since many people gain weight from drinking soda alone!!! Can add up to thousands & thousand of calories in a year!
Keep up the great work… you are a success already!
I can definitely see a difference! I like all your goals and by having a narrow focus you can have success in some areas and still have the bigger goals as future successes.
I’m glad that you quit carbonated beverages. They aren’t so good for you!!
I can match you on a few goals. I will try to pack lunch this week and cook at home. I didn’t eat much halloween candy nor is there any in the house so I am sort of safe. I will try and get my 5 miles also. Thanksgiving? I’m single – It’s just an extended weekend.
Looking great! I’m falling back again, so frustrated.
Hi Josie. I think you are doing great! Sometimes it is hard to see the progress in ourselves. I think your goals look really good. Keep up the good work!
